What is NCAMA and what do they do?

Members of NCAMA participate in a variety of events, including:

  • Conformation Dog Shows

  • Obedience Training and Trials

  • Agility Training and Trials

  • Recreational Dog Sledding

  • Hiking and Backpacking

  • Skijoring

  • Carting

  • Weight Pulling

We also participate in:

  • Parades

  • Fun Matches

  • Workshops

  • Public Education

  • Community Service

Some of our annual events are:

  • Christmas Party

  • Pinecrest and/or Prosser Campout

  • AKC Agility Trial

  • AKC Alaskan Malamute Specialty Show

  • Awards Banquet

  • Snow Days in the Sierras

Monthly Meetings

General Membership meetings are held almost every month.  Most of these are held at AKC dog shows and are scheduled for about 30  minutes after the Malamutes finish showing.  These meetings are published in the Howler in advance as to the date, time and place.

This is our club's monthly newsletter filled with information on the breed, club events, and general club information.  We encourage all members to contribute articles on their Malamute experiences.
